Monday!

At story time this morning (The City) we learned about a summer reading program.  I decided it would be something fun for Monkey to participate in so I signed him up.  Here are the books we read today:

35 minutes:
The Digging-est Dog by Al Perkins
The Carrot Seed by Ruth Krauss
Harold's Circus by Crockett Johnson
Swim Like A Fish by Ellen Schecter
Henry and Mudge and the Bedtime Thumps by Cynthia Rylant
Henry and Mudge The First Book by Cynthia Rylant
Henry and Mudge and the Wild Wind by Cynthia Rylant (this was one on the PreK-1st list)

He loved all the books but especially the ones about dogs.  He enjoyed the Henry and Mudge ones a lot and I think we'll probably read them a few more times before taking them back.

At nap time we also read Dr Seuss's ABC book (he LOVE the board books-he has a big stack of them he likes to sleep with).
